transparent red/green

Some older scoring machines use a colored paint on the light bulbs to produce the red/green coloration. Does anyone know of a source for such a dye/paint whatever?

Wouldn;t pain be a bit thick? How about green and red-tinted film???

Whatever the film is it goes on like paint. I think of film as a distinctly separate entity rather than a coating. But it's all the slipperiness of the english language.

We used some transparent plastic sheet when we made some remotes about one foot by 5 reet.

I recommend not to use the colored glass bulb enclosures such as used on the Saber Insustry machines. They waste too much light. You can use Christmas tree bulbs. They do sell standard bulbs in colors.

But the transparent plastic "Gels" work quite well.

After curing it is oven-safe to 350 F, so I wouldn't expect it to degrade on a low duty-cycle scoring light.
