My first day fencing in 3 months

Amazing, the club is totally different from my old one but still pretty good. My class is... eh. I could pretty much take everyone out in 1 move, but its good to get practice in I guess

My coaches are awesome, one of them got bronze in +50 world champs. Shes cool. The other reminds me of a portly Matthew Broderick, in the best possible way.

Anyway, if any of you know them don't tell um I said that haha.

    Fencing whoop!

How I envy you. I had the first round of lessons in may and after then they've been put off until hopefully next month... (I do hope they start!)

Are you with the beginner epeeists? Or have you had a chance to fence the better ones? Regarding your coach who got bronze in the vet world championships...did you know her daughter is also a world championship bronze medalist in epee? How cool is that? Two bronzes in one family in one world championship year. Kerry's picture is on the wall of the club.

I was told that as well, pretty cool.

Also they put me in the beginners foil class. I don't enjoy that to much, but they said I need to get through that class first.

Wow...I'm surprised that they are having you go thru that, but it must be that in their epee training, they build on techniques they teach in foil.

Yeah last nights class was basically just a review. Footwork was good though. I walk in the door, jeans on, stuff in pockets and proper pants in car (wasn't sure if they had equips for me) and was told to go directly to footwork. I was like "Yes, proper fencing I am back!"

    Good times.

Bout 2 minuets of stretching, I had a little trouble finding the place so I was a bit late. As for warm ups they just start off slow.
