Array 2007 Youth Point Winners The USFA has published the youth point winners for 2007!
Congrate go to all the fencers. They are listed at http://www.usfencing.org/usfa/content/view/2298/142/
Of note in our section though is Jake Harbour in Y14 Mens Epee. Jake fences under Jamie Odom in Santa Fe and is the only point winner from our section in 2007 -

Array Two fencers, actually!!! Matt, you need to scroll down.
Joseph Longuevan, of Denver Fencing Center, was the top Youth 10 Boys Epee fencer in the country. He is D rated fencer after winning the NAC in Tucson. He and his teammate, David Dryja finished top 12 at US Fencing Nationals in that event.
And if you haven't congratulated her already, Mary Wilkerson, Denver Fencing Center, won the US Fencing Nationals in Vet 40-49 Women's Saber.

In the Y14 rolling points list Juleah Nusz from the RMS finished #1. The Y14 rolling points take into account cadet events as well as Y14 events. The youth point winners are selected by looking only at the two best events in the specific age group. This hurts fencers who, for example, can do well in cadet as well as Y14 events. This all changes when the fencers move into the cadet, junior, and senior points list. -

-N www.denverfencingcenter.com Thanks for catching that... I cannot beleive I missed Joseph.
It is exciting to have 2 of the Section fencers listed by the national office as the 2007 Youth Point Winners. It's also great that Juleah and Mary are doing so well too. Our section has a lot of growing talent in it. Great job everyone! -
