Uniform Labels

I've searched for an answer to this question, and came up empty. Is there a problem with removing the exterior manufacturer's labels from uniforms for competition in the US? (Note: I'm not talking about FIE stuff here, just 350N house-brand)

Thanks.

Yeah, that's fine. There are no CE or specific manufacturer requirements in the US.

However they have been proposed so proof of manufacture may be required at some point in the future.

Why do you want to take the labels off to begin with?

Just guessing...

Because it came off in the wash?
Because some of the threads have been broken and wcsv is trying to figure out whether it's legal to just cut the rest and get rid of it, rather than try to sew it back on?
Because wcsv just REALLY hates that manufacturer and wants to stop advertising for them?
Because wcsv REALLY likes the clean look of white whites and thinks that a label ruins the "perfection"?
Because [increasingly improbable answers omitted]

Well, call me picky if you want, but I just don't like them. It's not that i'm worried about my uniform looking "perfect", I just don't like Absolute's labels. They seem very conspicuous.
