Info On Viktoria Shoes Hi!! I am an Italian athlete and I usually wear Viktoria shoes.
Since I saw there were many posts on it, and none of it seemed to have a lot of notions on these products, I can give you, if you like, a lot of information on them, since I know directly the manufacturers of the shoes.
I also know their e-mail, should you want to ask them about the prices or anything else.
I think you should really give a try to the new models. They fit perfectly fine to me... -

Array Their e-mail address can also be found on their site. As for prices, that would depend entirley on the vendor...
This sounds like blunt advertising to me. Do you also sell mobile phones..? -
Reply Very funny...
I am serious about it.
And I wouldn't know where you found the e-mail address, since the site has only being posted on the web yesterday...
As I told you I know the manufacturers very well, and for this reason too I resent that their shoes are not so popular in the United States because of the too high price at which they're sold here... -

Well, that's not a great combination with the fact that they fall apart after a month or two of hard use, even if they're totally comfortable while falling apart. -

It sounds like you have used them. From the picture, it looks like they have a sole-like material on the inside where my D'Art2s (and all of my fencing shoes) have leather roll-protection. This would seem counter-intuitive to me, as the leather would be less likely, I believe, to wear when dragging the rear foot. Is this also the case with Addistars? What's your opinion on this? -

Array In my opinion, the old high viktoria's (Pro Alto I think...) we're definitly the best shoes on the market. I got 4 pairs from Negrini before they got discontinued... I haven't had a chance to try the new ones yet, as we just don't seem to be able to find them anywhere, let alone for an affordable price.
How about when the damn website will work again? It hasn't worked in over a year now! On the positive side there is at least a homepage now... -

I haven't used them myself, but a number of kids at my club went through two pairs in quick succession and then switched to something else. One managed to wear through a pair in one week at Nationals.
One of the kids really likes the shoes and has taken to sewing a leather patch over the inside of the ball of the back foot, which he replaces as it start to wear through, but that's a heck of a lot of upkeep for a pricey pair of shoes. -

I cannot find them anywhere. They look so cool. The website you mentioned says the prices are only for Italians.. Can we in the United States order from them?

I think that all the info you have on the Viktoria shoes are about the old ones, which, I have to confirm, didn't last for very long.
The new models, instead, have lasted me a lot more, even though that of course depends also on how you use them.
Talking with my friend from Viktoria I aknoledged that, for now, the only distributor for the shoes in the US is Absolute Fencing, but he only keeps the Competition model.
In every case, if you want any other information, or if you would like to buy any other model, I can give you his e-mail: sara@viktoriafencing.com
For fatfencer: you can try writing them directly for the high competition! -
so far not so good The I never received an email. I will try again. I hope I will get a response.
