| Big Money? OK. I guess I am the only one who noticed a 20% increase in registration and a 25% increase in event fees at NACs. |

Just as a heads-up, an increase in membership fees will be discussed at the Board meeting in February (default action is a $10 bump at the beginning of each quad). Will, presumably, have some discussion around the February and July, 2008 meetings in the threads for those Board meetings.

| Depending on how it gets spent, that could be worth every penny.
I would much rather that my students get better reffing (and perhaps fresh refs) in later rounds of competition. As a ref, It'd also be nice to be paid something above minimum wage.

| The new cards are cheaper for the USFA (in an individual sense, not even including replacement costs) than the old cards, which were issued directly from the USOC, with USOC costs passed back to the USFA.
As to classifcations, look at your card. Where on it does it say your classification?
The answer to your question is "update the list online".

My penchant for destroying paper far outweighed the cost of a pack of card laminates.
Laminated cards are good, but I liked having one with my rating on it. Then I had some kind of tangible proof of my good fortune... |

| How about making a printout of the USFA membership listing with your rating? Tangible enough for you? |

| Everypne's getting hit The vendors are also getting hit with increases as well....I remember hearing a few discussions during SN about the price increase...and everyone was wondering if the increase included some additional service for the vendors...the response was yes..it meant more skirts for the tables...LOL..money well spent indeed...

| Actually, raising fees like that will probably mean at least a slight decrease in attendents immediately following the fee increases. Just like they'll probably see fewer vendors showing up, immediately following the price hike for vendors.
