Array Rant in Lieu of Blog Stuck in Los Angeles overnight, after my flight was first delayed then cancelled.
A "mechanical item" left us sitting too long on the tarmac with full fuel tanks, and the fuel got too hot and expanded, and began to spill from the tanks. Copiously. Fire department called. Deplaned. More waiting. 20 agents appear, confer behind the scenes. Bad sign.
Marriot. $8 meal voucher for "any vendor". Marriot meals start at about $12. Double room. Coach snores.
Rod Meagher, Sharol Pestotnik, Nikolai Logatchev in same boat, or rather life raft. Now scheduled into Sydney around 8 p.m. Tuesday...
Gods trying to keep me from getting Neinteen more homework, I suspect. Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -

Array Ooooh. Sorry to hear that, Inq. You're flying out for the Vets WC? I hope it doesn't affect your fencing. -

Array Inq: As long as they don't bring a goat out onto the tarmac, you should have nothing to worry about.
But it sucks that all hthey seem to be doing for you is giving you 66% off one meal. The preceding post brought to you by Rabid Monk (TM). Rabid Monk: informative, irreverent, interesting, random and downright odd posts, done with pride since 1983. -

Array Good luck to Inq. and the rest of the US Vets team... Hope flight probs end up being all the problems they have!
So - on a slightly more bizarre note - I did a quick calculation, and if the current posting rates for Neinteen and Inq do not change, by January 30, 2008, Neinteen will have the most posts on F.net, passing him around post number 21540 or so.
Don't ask why I did that - it didn't make any sense to me either, but I am just killing time during lunch... "A well-instructed people alone can be permanently a free people" -- James Madison

Array You're absolutely right. Monkey doesn't describe you nearly as well as gibbon does. Please accept my apology. Beer, it's whats for dinner! ~ a young snowboarding Canadian The meek don't want it! ~ sticker on a rock band's guitar -
