On the "fencingsucks" webpage? I haven't visited there since I posted a joke when the site was first put up. The vitriol spewed in those pages is pretty awful. If this were 300 years ago, half of those people would have killed the other half already.

Chris, they're looking for a reaction, and if you're giving it to them, you're only making them happy. Personally, I wouldn't give them the time of day.

I did read the long and ongoing Umbs thread on fencing sucks with some amusement. Its something I've seen a lot in bbs's, on internet chat services, usenet, etc.

There are a lot of people who just go on such things and once realizing they are free from having to worry about someone finding out who they are and beating the snot out of them behave like crazed beligerant monkeys.

You want to defend yourself, but they'll keep going no matter what you do. You want to reason with them, but they aren't going to be reasonable. You are their outlet for the frustration of their pathetic little lives, the pinyata of their existance, being gleefully wacked by their posted sticks day after day without mercy or even a seeming reason for it.

My advice is stop posting and let them move on to another target. After a few weeks they'll move on.

I checked out the SCA section on fencing sucks. Sorry Chris J' I didn't understand what these guys were upto (see previous post). Attacking your wife - sheesh thats very bad. There are a LOT of very sad people in the world with not very much to do.

I was just there. She sure can handle herself. It's only a matter of time before they break down and start posting " Hey, you suck, No you suck more" The creativity level is somewhat dim there. I don't know, I really like fencingsucks.com. I stay away from the message board but the jokes section is pretty damn funny. You have to keep a sense of humor in this sport, especially considering the uniform

For as much as they claim not to like D&D the seem to know a bit about it. Uninformed biased dorks is all i have to say about most of the people tht post on there.
