Array USOC Calendar A few years ago I mailed a spur of the moment donation to the USOC. Since then I've been bombarded by begs for more money, including gifts, the total cost of which definitely exceeds the amount of my original donation. (And that's figuring on their cost, not the selling value of said stuff.) Anyhow, today they sent a 2008 calendar to me and out of sheer and idle curiosity, I opened it up instead of tossing it like I do everything else. Lo and behold, fencing! -

Array If it hurts your knees you're not doing it right. Your body weight and momentum should be distributed among the upper and lower muscles of both your front and rear legs. The hamstrings should take up some of the weight as if they form a sling. Stretch them out by sitting into them in the lunge and then whoosh, when they contract, they will pull you back up. -

Array *snort* At this point I'd send them money if they'd promise to STOP sending me pins and address labels and postcards and calendars and all the dead trees that go along with said stuff. -

Array John Powers writes a Sunday Olympic sports column for the Boston Globe. About a week ago he was summarizing medal likelihood in Beijing and mentioned that a Fencing medal was expected. First time in about a year fencing has been mentioned. Mentioned Becca Ward, Mariel Zagunis and Sada Jacobson. Whoopee! My avatar is back. Similar Threads -
