Wes Littleton, of the Texas Rangers, picked up his first career save today, in a game the Rangers won 30-3 over the Baltimore Orioles. Littleton pitched the final three innings of the blow-out (AL record for most runs scored by a team in a game, highest in MLB since 1897).
Now, granted, when he entered the game Texas was "only" leading 14-3, and scored the other 16 runs in the 8th and 9th innings. By the time he faced his fourth batter that lead was up to 24-3, which would seem to take off a bit of the pressure.
