Article about strength training for fencing

Heres a somewhat vague article about strength training for fencing....

I joined associated content, so I wrote about the first thing that came to mind.

Negative criticism is not really welcome, but you're certainly welcome to read it and say nice things about it.

Actually not bad at all overall. I would, however, note that deadlifts with dumbells are actually possible and in keeping with the overall tone of your article likely to be preferable. My workout routine definitely includes single leg deadlifts which has the advantages of working out the core and a variety of stabilizer muscles as well as forearm/arm muscles (b/c holding on to a couple of 50lbs dumbells for sets of 11/12 is rough for most people). Also with SLDL dumbells can actually provide enough resistance effectively (50-140lbs or so per leg is good for most people although I'm sure you can find a gym with 100lbs dumbells easily if you need them).
I now dangle to the left....my tassle. Get your minds out of the gutter.

In the early stages of training, dumbells are usually sufficient.

As the athlete progresses though, it can be tough to find dumbells heavy enough.

I see strength training as something that should begin once a fencer starts to be competitive, something that continues to be improved on until the end of the fencers career.

    Program sustainability is key.
