| En Garde - short animation Schermaonline.com is pointing out a very interesting and quite remarkable short film/animation about fencing. http://www.schermaonline.com/scherma...ticle&sid=1303
The film/animation made by Olivier Colchen and Thomas Van Maele dates back to 2005 and was presented to the BitFilm Festival in Hamburg last year.

Great soundtrack! Enjoy it! |

| Okay. That was amazingly crafted.
But, everyone sing with me now:
"Spider fencer, spider fencer, does whatever a spiderfencer does. Can he swing from a thread? No he can't, he's a fencer. LOOOK OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT! Here comes a spiderfencer!"
All I could think. Damn you, Homer!

| French grips booooooooo.
The animation is really spectacular, though. And it's fairly close to modern fencing. I enjoyed it. |

I thought that we switched the lights because the non-fencer wouldn't understand it the old way. You mean that I went through the whole "sorry, I mean touch for the other fencer" stage of refereeing for nothing? |

There's the non-fencer watching the actual bout and there's the non-fencer watching commercials. Wait 'til they come out with the light changes for the non-fencer watching fencers watching commercials made by non-fencers for fencers to use to explain fencing to non-fencers who have fencers demonstrating non-fencing moves to non-fencers so they can ask questions of fencers. |
