Just heard back from Corinne. They are waiting for the finalization fo the selection criteria and the new points formula. She said that should happen by the weekend. Why would the points formula be different for Womens epee?

Unless I am missing a page, the team standings for WF Cadet and Junior have not been posted - only the rolling point standing. I assume that the message from Corinne refers to team standing for all weapons.

I was talking about the rolling points. All of the rolling points have been updated except for J/C Women's epee. I'm not sure why J/C Women's epee rolling points would be calculated differently from J/C Men's epee.

(I beg to point out that as the Div I standards are up to date, it's apparently not so difficult for Women...)

Calculations for rolling and team selection are slightly different for each weapon and sex and different for 2007 vs 2008.

For instance Cadet Men's Epee 2007 team was top 16 Div I SN points cut in half or top 16 Cadet Worlds cut in half. For 2008 top 32 Div 1 SN full points and top 16 Cadet World cut in half can both be included in Group II.

Men's Sabre are cut in half but have strength factors. Check out the athlete's handbook.

The fact that there isn't a National Women's Epee coach is probably why it is taking longer to finalize team selection criteria.

There haven't been enough events yet this season, only Worlds and Summer Nationals, to calculate team points. Probably won't be posted until December or January.

Corinne did update rolling points for all except Women's epee.
