    Best Division Web Sites

These are the only RMS division web sites I could find.

    http://www.azfencingdivision.net/
    http://www.explore-systems.com/colodiv/index.do
    http://ksfencing.org/
    http://www.plainstexasdivision.com/
    http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/A...293/nmdiv.html

Which ones are the best. The most informative. We can make fun of the worst ones later.

I'd have to vote for Plains Texas, but I'm biased.

    Jay,

I agree, our webmaster has done a great job. It's always up to date and well organized!

The Plains Texas Site is a great resource for area fencers.

Compared to the others, no doubt that it's between Arizona and Plains Texas. Those others hurt my eyes and are mostly out of date! I need to have a talk with some of the web masters.

Looks like my little talks are working. The Colorado Division is moving up! It's not there yet but it's a huge improvement!

    Division Web Site Updates

Currently the Colorado division web site is by far the best maintained. Plains Texas is not bad, updates are being made. Arizona and Kansas, please work on updates and making those updates more visible. New Mexico, did you know you have a web site? It is located at http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/A...293/nmdiv.html and needs to be killed or updated. Plains Texas and Arizona, please take a look at Colorado’s site. They are maintaining their points list with askfred. It is easy and free. New Mexico, email your buddies in Plains Texas, thank them for handling the points list for you, and recommend they use askfred. Kansas, do you have a point list? If so please add it to your web site! As for the RMS site, I would be afraid for it to be updated. Many misspellings and grammar errors would result!
    Another useful post by EPEEFORLIFE!

Next year we probably will use AskFRED's points listings. Unfortunately, the way we set it up this year, it would be difficult. Only Plains TX and New Mexico fencers are eligible and we have some other little qualification rules that aren't covered by any of the available templates. We'll fix that next year and use AskFRED.
If everything you try works, you are not trying hard enough.

    Website and Hi

Hi all, I just found this thread from the Rocky Mtn Section website.

I built the new Colo Div website last Fall. As for maintaining the point standings in Askfred, we actually worked with Peet Sasaki to have some special calculations to match our division rules.

If you were to look at last year's points, you'd see that I just posted excel spreadsheets as html. Linking into Askfred for tournament registrations and points is great.

Does anybody have some code they can share for dynamic content? I'l like my tournament listings to be dynamically generated from a text file, with the one requirement that the html output contain links to the individual Askfred tournament registration pages.

I currently don't know of that code existing at this point, but that would be good to have. We will have to put that on our wish list.
