I'm returning to fencing after a three year hiatus, but never did real well back in "the day". I was an E95 (in foil), but now I'm a nothing. Still trying to get back into a groove here in Sacramento, CA.

The highest competition I ever went to were the Pacific Coast Championships in Las Vegas, NV in 1995. Knocked out in a big way in the first round.

I got the news from my doctor that I'll be able to compete again as of February. The stress fracture should be fine (long story on how I got it). When opportunity knocketh, I shall answer!

Mr_Foilist, can't say I'm a poor college kid...but I am a mom, & a writer. Can that count? My life is pretty much decided by babysitters (or lack thereof) & money that is NOT going toward bills, food, etc.

Perhaps you could get a sideline like being a supplier for one of the fencing equipment companies for more income. What with being one of our governors and club president you'd probably know a lot of potential customers.
