The "Alien"

My family & I went down to Kentucky to seem my husband's parents. Mind you, they're no where near the fencing "hot spots". I was wearing my club jacket at their little theatre (we went to see Remember the Titans), & the teenagers there were looking at me, & whispering. I didn't know whether to feel like an alien or a movie star.

Wonder what they would have said if they found out I was a published author too...hmm...

I can't wait to get my jacket from my fencing club! I'll be visiting my family on the West coast over Thanksgiving and hope to have it by then.

Yeah, Moon, I gotta admit, we have pretty cool jackets. I get stopped at least once a week when I'm wearing mine. People ask, "Where can I learn? Does it hurt? Is it expensive? Can I watch?" Kinda helps stretch your 15 minutes of fame.

AND...I think that your diminutive stature might have played a role as well. "Can that small woman weild a sword?" I can almost hear the whispers!
