| Fencing Wiki - Launch! How many threads are there about "how do I rewire my foil" or "what are classifications/how do I earn an E?"
If you said "too many" then the new Fencing Wiki may just be for you.
Earlier efforts to compile the helpful tips and advice contained within various parts of the forums have failed, mainly due to the large amount of information and the very limited time available to those who have volunteered thus far.
The Fencing Wiki is based on MediaWiki and integrated with the forums, so you can use your same Fencing.net user ID for creating new wiki topics, and editing existing ones.
I pulled in a dump of the existing wikipedia fencing topics to use as a baseline. Feel free to go in and edit and add new topics. Let me know any suggestions and if you have experience with MediaWiki, please PM me since it's all really new to me.
Here's the link: Fencing.Net Fencing Wiki
Thanks!

| It's a little hard to browse content at the moment. Do we want to create a frontpage? |

If people start changing and reverting the same content, then we'll need to discuss it. Until then, don't discuss. Start by modifying. Someone else will restructure things if your changes don't make sense. |

I am reasonably certain that there are clubs missing.
Informal names of schools/clubs should also be replaced with formal names.
Also, instead of just linking to the club's page, maybe each entry should point to an article stub, and let the stub point to the club's page?

| How does one get the name of the school to function as the link? I added the website for Arizona State, but it shows as a box after the school name rather than the way the links to the schools before and after it do...

So it looks like this:
[ http://www.asu.edu/clubs/sallediablo/ Arizona State University]

| While we are at it, could someone who knows about other regions of the country add appropriate conferences & schools in http://www.fencing.net/wiki/index.ph...ng_Conferences ?
I am a little bit confused on conferences outside my area. |

| If you're interested in writing articles and editing, I would recommend that you go to this page for basic instructions on how to write wiki.

| This is really cool. Thanks for doing this!
One question I have, though:
How can we keep the existing wikipedia articles in sync with the ones here?
