I didn't check off the names as they were read, but Carla Mae made it, and deserves it

Dan was inducted this year, not elected for next year's induction.

I don't recall which nominees were elected from the "early years" group, but the other 4 elected are:

Carla-Mae Richards
Dave Micahnik
Ed Korfanty
Cathy McClellan

Does anyone know who puts the Bio for the candidates together and also who checks for the accuracy of this information? There seemed to be a problem this year with accuracy.

Not a clue. I'm not on the Congress, nor am I on any USFA committee anymore. I was just reporting the facts.

On the ballot received by members of Congress the following bio was written for Cathy McCllelan:

A five-time US National Foil Team Champion and a two-time US
National Foil Champion with Tanner City Fencers Club under Joe Pechinsky.
Cathy McClellan is one of only a handful of women in US fencing history to
be nationally ranked in the top ten in both foil and epée in the same year,
and achievement she accomplished three times. When she made the US World Championship Team in 1989, she qualified in both epée and foil! Cathy also earned the gold medal in the Pan-American Games in 1991 in Havana, Cuba and in the Women?s Epee Team event. An NCAA All-American and Co-Captain from Penn State, Cathy was a model for sportsmanship throughout her career. Her courtesy and grace to everyone around her was unsurpassed. The first woman ever to coach at an Ivy League institution, Cathy McClellan worked as an Assistant Coach under Dave Micahnik at the University of Pennsylvania from 1982 to 1984. She was New England Division Chair, and was Head Coach at
Tufts University from 1988 to 1992.

For sure, Cathy never won the Individual Women's Foil National Championships twice. She did win the Individual; Women's Epee National Championships twice.

In addition, I question whether she was a member of 5 Teams that won the Women's Treasm event at the National Championships.

Along with Molly and Jane, I'd guess yes.

Was she a KEY member of those teams?? very debatable.
