Eastwing, Frank Bartillio won the mens foil (I think), and Judy Zhu won the womens foil against Jo Hall (who beat me convincingly in the 16). the top 4 for womens foil was 1st Judy Zhu, 2nd Jo Hall, =3rd Tracey Green and Evelyn Hall. I missed most of the men's foil as it took 2 hours to get from the airport to the hotel. and we were stuck on the plane for 20 minutes after landing as the airport was on lightening alert. So instead of arriving at about 4:45 we arrived at 6ish. so I missed it....I canfind out for you though tomorrow night. I know Jess Beers came 7th in the foil..... you really do have to watch her, all arms and legs and soooo long and fast (sorry Jess but its true!)

Who's Judy Zhu? is she new, i've never heard of her before. Who were the others in the WF top eight? How many WF entries were there all together? Did Alex King, Charlotte Adams, Lila Du, Mariam or Rewina enter, how did they go?
Sounds like a good competition (i regret not going now). I heard there were 65 entries in MF, congrats to Frankie again (bet he won sabre, too).

Judy (0r was it Wendy?) Zhu is a Victorian who is originally from china. According to Helen Smith she went through the Chinese system and was on thier national team for 7 years or somthing (not fully sure was only half listening). She has recently immigrated out her with her partner. Others in the womens foil top eight were Jess Beer from NZL in 7th. I'll find out the rest. Lelia and Charlotte didnt enter. Rowena Newcombe was in the eight I think, Marie Ann Davies was as well. I think the other in the eight was Jessica Howard but I'm not sure. There were 37 womens foil entries alltogether. Alex King competed, not sure how she went. There were 63 in men's foil. Fankie won the sabre too. I'll get proper results soon.

Frank Bartillio came first (in men's foil) Nigel Nutt came second and Andrew Berry came 3rd. Does anyone know if Nigel was fencing for WA or ACT?

Nigel was fencing for WA. I think he is registering in NSW next year. The complete results can be found at www.qafa.org.au under results.
