    Triplette Competition Arms

Does anyone know what's happened with TCA? It was Triplette, but now I can't bring up the Triplette website (www.triplette.com).

I think for a while there, it was starting to become A-Bout Fencing, but what became of that? But I can't find that online either.

    It works for me...

That PARTICULAR link isn't working because it tries to put a ")" into it.

    Other than that, working.

Organizationally, Triplette is not present at the Summer Nationals. Speaking with Craig, he told me that there's management re-org at TCA and will be back in business at NACs and such soon.

The rumor I heard was that Walter Triplette was taking TCA back.

    not a rumor

    It's been confirmed.

I just got off the phone with them.

I'm pretty sure business will continue as usual for them. I've always had good luck with them.

I do hope that Walter continues the upward trend of TCA's reputation. James and Debbie Simpson did a fine job running the company and I do hope they resurface soon vis-a-vis fencing.

I do hate to see good folk go away. James and Debbie were salt of the earth folk. Starla still works there and she's a great gal.

Best of luck to all involved.

Rotsa ruck...it was Walter who was putting out "FIE" masks that really weren't....remember the thread from before the sale???

The rep he gained for the company is going to be hard to overcome now that he's back.

If you say so, but Walter is the funny one, right?

tca equipment is junk, always has been and will likely continue to be so. From the tca box that randomly decides to not trigger a light when a sabre blade touches a lame (can be laid on the lame for seconds and the box won't go off) to the junk masks to the crappy jackets, and from the looks of some of thier posts here it appears thier customers are low class cheap junk too.

    Even Balbos has rep.

I'm just laughing that you have yet to really insult RebelFencer. He must be so untouchable himself, that you have to go after his mom. RebelFencer, you should be proud that you have such impeccable ability.

On topic, I see nothing wrong with LP's gear myself, and have heard several good things from other fencers about their kit. I've had bad things happen with 3 different companies so far, but they were all willing to fix them for no cost. I'm more worried about what the company does when something goes wrong, I guess. But out of the 50 or so different LP pieces of gear that I know of others having, all of them but one has lasted for multiple years.

At the Risk of Returning to the Original Issue . . .

. . . I bought my mask and my equipment bag from Triplette and have never had trouble with either. I especially enjoy the snap-out bib liner on the mask, which makes it easier to keep clean. TCA also has the cleverest catalogue of any I've seen. If I can ever afford to spring for a lame, I'm figuring on getting one of theirs.

Ok, FF has stepped over the line and I've deleted his posts, and the ensuing discussion about FF - rather than TCA. Sorry about the collateral damage folks but the thread reads better without it. Get in touch if you've any questions.
