Why are fencing girls so much incredibly hotter than regular girls?

I've noticed this trend. The more girl fencers I meet, the more I realize that girl fencers are 1000 times better looking than their nonfencing counterparts.

Is it universal, or just in texas that this effect happens? Is it backwards compatable? Are male fencers better looking than regular men?

No offense to the females of our sport, but could it possibly be subconscious? You think they are more attractive by virtue of the fact that they fence? Or by virute of the fact that they are wielding a sword? Maybe you like S&M....endless possibilities.

Don't get me wrong; other girls are still hot too. But fencing chicks...I don't know. I've yet to see one that was ugly, or even moderate attractiveness. I can assure you I'm not into S&M =P. Do I sense a little bit of projection...?

I can confirm this. Fencing chicks are slammin' hot. Maybe it's just because they're athletic and I dig strong thighs/asses, but damn. Chick fencers > everything.

haha, wait 'till you get into your 20's..chick fencers go from hot to non existent, (at least in the cities i've lived/fenced in).

They're hot because they're wearing full-length fencing uniforms while fencing in non-airconditioned salles. Oh, not that sort of "hot"? Sorry!

I beg to differ, in my club there are many girls yet none of them all that hot at all or at least nothing above average. I was actually kinda disapointed As of man... I fence and I'm hot so i guess you right on that one

Depends on how long they have been fencing and if they are athletic in general. If they have been doing it for a while in their youth, the conditioning does wonders for their body.

Personally, I have a thing for equestrians. Every girl I have ever dated rode horses in her youth.

I don't know if I agree with the whole "all fencing girls are hot" theory.

The vast majority of girls fencing epee, however, are very hot.

I beg to differ, in my club there are many girls yet none of them all that hot at all or at least nothing above average. I was actually kinda disapointed As of man... I fence and I'm hot so i guess you right on that one

I don't think fencing girls are any more or less attractive than non-fencing girls. It's just a matter of perception. We find them hotter, because we think its cool they have something in common with us. If we played soccer, we would find soccer girls more attractive (ah, Mia Hamm).

I'm gonna put this down to 2 things.

1) Sharing a mutual interest with somebody simply makes them more attractive in your eyes. Therefore the girls you know who fence are simply going to seem that much more interesting and attractive to you. I'd say the fact being involved with somebody who is not going to yell at you when you say you're busy because you have training, a comp or have to fix up your weapons or somethinge else fencing related and are too busy or unable to do something or spend time with them, might hold it's own elements of attraction, especially for when you're older...

2) You simply aren't getting out enough to meet new enough people outside of fencing.

I'm not saying fencing chicks aren't necessarily hot, but I think there are other factors at work.

It may take goggles to make an epee fencer hot, but it takes a blindfold to make a sabre fencer hot.
