A variety of jazz charts composed by Danny Williams, he would would -- a couple of years later -- be my band director my Sr year of high school.
Have actually had a tape of his music the San Diego state Jazz ensemble recorded in the late 70s....only now have had a chance to digitize it...no longer worried about the tape getting eaten!
In order:
Head's Up
Waiting
Since We've Met
Nuther Blues
The Throne of Ishtar (playing as i type this)
Workin' on Miss Mantooth's Auto
After this...it'll be a selection of Beach Boys tunes -- plus one by The Association...I'm arranging the music for a local high school band and this is their show....I've got most of the show cut to length and a draft orchestration done...now it's just listening to the cut charts a lot to get ideas for drill....
Good thing I might be getting paid for this!

The drama of this one particular aria is so full of pathos it is incredible, the ending of Victory, Victory, Victory is fantastically uplifting.

Some mind-numbingly bad Jewel song that's been playing over and over in my head today, about asking some kid to come out and play or something.

Oh thanks, Inq! Now I've got one of those classical radio station voices in my head reading off what you posted!
And now...back to my Beach Boys (almost done arranging that show)

The Decemberists, "Yankee Bayonet (I Will Be Home Then)"
Catchy tune for such a grim and graphic song.
