| Pentangle, Forest, and Trees.
One of my friends and I have been trying to find music by these bands for awhile, and now that we've got it, I have to say it was well worth the wait.
I've been on a (70s British) folk rock binge lately. |

| Classical Music... to specify the composer or work would be pretentious of me since I can't tell one piece for another (except for Bach).
MrMightyMouse: I finally watched Control (although I turned it off before end)... you want to talk about a well made movie! I actually had chills when LWTUA started playing when Debbie walks off. I loved hearing the new versions of the songs. I head somewhere the New Order did those... was that Hook doing the vocals?

| On a 335, fyi, because it's not actually Point it up unless it's played on a 335. Actually, it's an imitation 335, but it's as good as the real thing. |

This one is supposed to be terrific - but I have not seen it yet.
Pretty cold stuff - I did not know that New Order started 3 days after the funeral. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...SIN=B001B2S41I http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...deoid=26681071

masterplan Will dance if they want to dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't know
What is gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand won't let you understand
Why we're all part of the masterplan

I was always able to look past the synths on that song as well. I have a problem with Ian's line, "I'm ashamed of the things I've been put through..."
I now that Ian was heavily medicated and morose, but I still believe he was responsible for marrying Debra so young and for engaging in the extra-martial affair with Annik. I have no doubt that Ian was ashamed of himself (what person who truly knows himself is not?), but what about Debra's feelings of Isolation? It's hard enough taking care of the needs of a baby while your spouse is gone, but to know that he's with another woman must have been agonizing.

| I've been listening to a lot of Tantric lately. A few songs stuck in my mind right now. The One feels particularly close to home right now. Down and Out is another great track.
And I can't help but smile at Love Song. I've been there before, and
somehow listening to this song puts those past heartaches into a new perspective.

New Order - Movement - Denial | I don't excuse him; I just relate to what he said.
