Summer Fencing

I am going to be visiting my grandmother in Monaco this summer and would love the opportunity to fence there, but the local club is closed and clubs in nearby Nice do not respond to my emails. Are most French salles open during the summer (June, July)?

I was also wondering how I could find if there were any competitions (any at all)? I checked the French federations site but its calendar is not very understandable and does not give details for the competitions listed?

In June most salles will be open. As soon as the holiday season starts (early July), then most salles are closed.

Is the biggest one that I know of.

They do foil (which you state is your primary weapon in your profile).

There are no large competitions in France in June or July, except the national championships for division 2, which you have to qualify for to enter.

I had tried emailing those two clubs but I get a return message that says the address does not exist. I guess I will call the clubs later on before I leave.
