Well, I'm gonna have to wait till I can drive before I can fence. My parent's won't make the drive to Ypsilante (the closest club) cause they say it's too far. I only have my parent-permit so it'll be a while...
I know what its like... its only been this year tha i could become a serious fencer partly because of that exact same problem. but dont worry too much. just read up on the rules & do some runs etc to build up endurance & the like & you'll be sweet.

Well, Bryan, when you get that license, you'll be able to compete in a whole slew of tournaments. Check out www.michfencing.org for a schedule of tournaments in Michigan. We'll be having a planning meeting at my club when we host JO's on the 18th. Think you could get your folks to drive you to Livonia to watch a tournament?
the 18th huh? well, I regret to say that I'll be out of town then. Too bad, eh? well, since it will be a while till I fence, anyone got any suggestions on how to prepare myself?
