cannot post anything I keep on getting the following when i wanted to post new thread in other area other than on comments & suggestions
You did not specify a username for your post. -
That Guy
Array You're posting a URL or email address with the post which looks spammy if you don't have a number of posts already.

I am having the same problem. I have to cut the message to smaller messages. Sometimes it is getting through and sometimes not. -

Array I'm getting the same message and fear that I've posted 20 versions of the same reply because nothing seemed to be posting. I logged out and back in. Tried to post again and got a message that I'd posted the identical message within 5 minutes! Sorry for spamming--that was never my intention. vigilantibus non dormientibus -

Craig Meaning you were probably trying to post a link. One of the spam tools on this board is a minimum required number of posts for a user before you can post a link. -
i had a link in the post at first but took that out and still could not post. I can post to threads other sections, just not in Tournaments and CAmps. -
I didnt even post a link.... -
its just puzzling that i can reply to threads and post in the tournaments results section but just not in the tournament/camps section. does anyone know why this might be. -
there might be a specific restriction on that section. -
what restrictions are there for posting in the tournaments and camps section?? -

If you want to post something and are currently not able to why not contact a moderator and ask if they will do it for you? -
thanks, will do that. i was able to finally post to the tournaments section after many tries, one suggestion was to shorten the post, which i had tried before but kept trying. is there a limit to the size of posts in tournaments/camps? -
the problem is not only in tournaments etc it seems to be some malfunction of this system. It is some irational behaviour. However, I noticed too that short messages have higher probability of success. No one seems to give support here for this problem. -

Array Yeah, the tech support's awful here for the amount we pay to use the forum.
Oh, wait.... it's free.

It's spelled out earlier in the thread.
Stop trying to insert links (emails, web addresses - whatever) until you have been around the board a bit longer. The idea is that you must contribute before you get to post such things. It's an anti spam measure.
If there is something that is stopping you from posting send what it is in a PM to a moderator (and I might just know one of them...) and they will be happy to post it on your behalf. -

- Someone attempts to post a link with their first (or third) post. This triggers spam filter.
- Person attempts to post another 10 or more times with link, then without link
- by then they are "locked out" since multi-posting the same content is another spam trigger - makes you look like a web-bot
If you are having trouble posting something specific, best to send a PM.
Cheers,

In either case I managed to send some messages (short??) and some not.
Gav, Craig I know that your work is free and I appreciate it but I did expect that since may till now someone maintaing this site will respond. Sorry if this is too demanding. I do suggest that a moderator link will appear for each forum (I thought about it but did not know who was the moderator of that group). Anyway, I did find a way around it but I thought you should be aware of the problems in your system since other new comers will not be thrown away because of it and could increase this helpful community.
