Prise de Fer's D and Under next weekend

Due to some unfortunate unforseen circumstances (i.e., me thinking the 10th was Saturday and not Sunday), I can't make the Harvey Kerner at Candlewood this weekend. This is kinda bad, since I lose some good practice time for the nationals. I see that PdF has a D and under sabre event the weekend after, although it starts at 5. Any possible clue on when it would get out? That's a pretty rough drive to make home for me if it's late.

Figure 45 minutes for a round of pools, DEs starting before 6, we'll have 4 strips at that point probably (women's should be down to two strips at that point), last D & Under we had drew 25 for the MS, so assuming the same number, that's 9 bouts in the 32, figure 25 minutes for that, so now we're at 6:30 now, round of 16 will be 2 bouts per strip, another 25 minutes, 7:00 (rounding for simplicity), 10 min wait + 4 bouts - 7:20 (done with the 8), another 20 mins for the 4 (7:40), gold medal bout should be done around 8:00.

And if you've not attended a competition at PdF, you're in for a treat. They run like a Honda engine.

    A bit loud and buzzy?

(My gf drives an Acura, and I make fun of it, so it's not like I can really stop...)

Slow and steady, no matter what you do to speed them up?
That's it, I'm done with the discussion forums on F.net. It's had its uses, but the ideologues, ranters, and "experts" have drowned too many of the conversations. I'm changing my password to something random and never logging in again.

PEOPLE! Honda makes a great engine. (Of course, I drive a German Sedan, but I can appreciate Honda engines...)

OK, though, PdF runs tournaments like a Swiss timepiece.

You guys are thinking of the wrong Hondas. Think instead of the ones with two wheels, not four.

Fast and reliable, and easy to work on.

Okay, you guys convinced me...I should be there.

    But my car's not a Honda...sorry

Oh, and a question. I'm a USFA member, but I've not seen hide nor hair of the card they never sent me when I re-registered last August. When I mailed them, they sent me back an email certification of sorts with their letterhead and my member number on it, saying I was a member. Is that going to be acceptable?

As long as your name is on the USFA site: http://www.usfencing.org/usfa/content/view/1895/150/ then you'll be all set.
