Array Wagner and Prince ain't working out so well together. Prince takes a hike... as for now the music is Wagner, and lyrics by the band. Perhaps they don't need a dedicated composer either?
Vocalist: Harry Nilsson
Guitar: Rik Emmett (Triumph)
Rhythm Guitar: Kim Mitchell (~1990)
Bass: Donald "Duck" Dunn (~1980)
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Keyboard: Keith Emerson
Music by: Wagner "I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it." -

Array The band's using some interesting chords and progressions these days, and Duck Dunn's blues-based skills just aren't keeping up. He's gone.
To replace him, we got a guy from the world of 80s jazz fusion, who might even help the rest of the band expand their skills a bit: John Patitucci
Vocalist: Harry Nilsson
Guitar: Rik Emmett (Triumph)
Rhythm Guitar: Kim Mitchell (~1990)
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Keyboard: Keith Emerson
Music by: Wagner Freedom of speech makes it easier to spot the idiots. -

Array What a nice group here. A nice range of skills and styles. It's time to say goodbye to the great Wagner, and let the band develop it's own musical style through the bandmembers wide range.
Vocalist: Harry Nilsson
Guitar: Rik Emmett (Triumph)
Rhythm Guitar: Kim Mitchell (~1990)
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Keyboard: Keith Emerson "I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it." -

Array Gonna put some emotion in that guitar. I have summarily fired Rik (who didn't seem to mind, actually) and hired the mid-80s Mark Knopfler, before he went all Nashville. A genius, even made Eric Clapton look like an amateur when they performed together.
Vocalist: Harry Nilsson
Guitar: Mark Knopfler
Rhythm Guitar: Kim Mitchell (~1990)
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Keyboard: Keith Emerson "What did I tell you about being stupid? You don't get a birthday this year." -

Array Harry Nilsson decides one day to take some time off - doctor's orders, he's got to rest his vocal chords. In the following weeks, the band decides to move a little more uptempo and lean a bit more into the showy part of showbusiness. Knopfler and Emerson both object initially, but everyone votes on and agrees with calling in Little Richard.
Vocalist: Little Richard
Guitar: Mark Knopfler
Rhythm Guitar: Kim Mitchell (~1990)
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Keyboard: Keith Emerson Pound for pound, the amoeba is the most vicious animal on earth. -

Array Little Richard was way more trouble than he was worth. His "musical" style just didn't seem to fit with the artistic vision held by the rest of the band. He quickly goes the way of the dinosaurs, and in steps Ann Wilson of Heart.
Vocalist: Ann Wilson
Guitar: Mark Knopfler
Rhythm Guitar: Kim Mitchell (~1990)
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Piano: Keith Emerson
We're firing the keyboard and bringing in a full-sized grand piano with electric pickups!
(I have to say I was a little surprised that someone beat me to Emerson, but that was going to be my choice as I read the thread) -

Array We're replacing the rhythm guitar with the duo of Mike Connell and George Huntley from the Connells, also from around 1990. With Connell's jangly 12-string and Huntley's melodic electric, they gave a rich rhythm backup that this band could put to good use.
Vocalist: Ann Wilson
Guitar: Mark Knopfler
Rhythm Guitar: Mike Connell & George Huntley (~1990)
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)

Array We'll say 'ta' to Ann Wilson and really shake things up with:
Vocalist: Cat Stevens
Guitar: Mark Knopfler
Rhythm Guitar: Mike Connell & George Huntley (~1990)
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Piano: Keith Emerson "I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it." -

Array That last change nearly killed the band. Cat suddenly went missing a couple weeks back, and hasn't been seen since. Authorities are dredging local ponds as we speak.
In the meantime, the band held an open-mic audition for a quick replacement for their new year's gigs. The winner (by default, as the only person to show up on audition day) was the 1964 incarnation of Roy Orbison.
The band was soon booked through June.
Vocalist: Roy Orbison (1964)
Guitar: Mark Knopfler
Rhythm Guitar: Mike Connell & George Huntley (~1990)
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Piano: Keith Emerson Just because you have the right, that doesn't mean it is right. -

Array Knopfler goes Nashville, the band goes "Bye-bye". As Page, Hendrix, Slash, Clapton and Harrison are all otherwise engaged, the only other properly talented British guitarist left (outwith the Stones or otherwise still stoned)to wear ridiculous stage gear is Queen's very own Bryan May.
Vocalist: Roy Orbison (1964)
Guitar: Bryan May
Rhythm Guitar: Mike Connell & George Huntley (~1990)
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Piano: Keith Emerson The Stalwart Panda

Array Roy Orbison is nowhere to be found minutes before the band's next performance, and they are forced to use William Hung (Remember him? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqESG...eature=related), who happened to be standing nearby.
Vocalist: William Hung
Guitar: Bryan May
Rhythm Guitar: Mike Connell & George Huntley (~1990)
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Piano: Keith Emerson Mess with my cows and I'll break your knees U.S. OUT OF VERMONT More Cowbell -

Array Mr. Hung is now leading a succesful life coasting on his horrible singing, and soon decides to simply not show up for practice anymore. Bummer...
Just simply because I'd be curious of his performance in a rock band...
Vocalist: Andrea Bocelli
Guitar: Bryan May
Rhythm Guitar: Mike Connell & George Huntley (~1990)
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Piano: Keith Emerson "I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it." -

Array So the first two shows didn't go so well. It seems that Andrea Bocelli is actually a big fan of funk, and the band was having trouble getting the groove down. Mitch Mitchell was sitting around and decided to throw in a Tower of Power CD. At that moment, they realized who they needed to make the band perfect - Rocco Prestia.
Vocalist: Andrea Bocelli
Guitar: Bryan May
Rhythm Guitar: Mike Connell & George Huntley (~1990)
Bass: Rocco Prestia
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Piano: Keith Emerson Pound for pound, the amoeba is the most vicious animal on earth. -

Array On hearing the band rehearse from the studio next door, Prince himself barges into the room. He demands to be let back into the band, calling himself "The last of the great funk guitarists." Brian May quietly leaves as Prince declaims his greatness, sardonically humming a riff from "another one bites the dust."
Prince just won't shut up, saying "no-one with even a passing interest in funk guitar can miss my tracks like Controversy, Kiss, Alphabet Street and Sign O the Times. My perfectly timed chucking often provides the only organic groove in an electronic arrangement, and with great tone, too. And I'm fabulous at the Hendrix/Funkadelic/Santana style psychedelic blues soloing this band has been craving."
The band relents and hires him.
Vocalist: Andrea Bocelli
Guitar: Prince
Rhythm Guitar: Mike Connell & George Huntley (~1990)

Array Music producer Bruce Dickinson wants more Cowbell so the band hires Gene Frenkle(AKA Will Ferrell.)
Vocalist: Andrea Bocelli
Guitar: Prince
Rhythm Guitar: Mike Connell & George Huntley (~1990)
Bass: Rocco Prestia
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Piano: Keith Emerson
