| Lars Ulrich has gone into hiding after being threatened by file-swappers. The band decides to pick up a drummer who is (was, I suppose) both traditional and FANTASTIC.
Vocalist: Urine (MSI)
Guitar: David Gilmour (c. 1979)
Rhythm Guitar: Jack White (White Stripes)
Bass: Les Claypool (Primus)
Drums: Buddy Rich (mid '70's)
Keyboard: Andrew W.K. (Andrew W.K)

| Sorry Andrew... just don't think you're what we're looking for. I'm gonna have to "let you go". But who to replace with? We need someone with a good range of styles who can support the band in most situations, but can still take a strong lead from time to time (as a good keyboardist should). His lyrics also can add some panache. And sooooo, I give you:
Vocalist: Urine (MSI)
Guitar: David Gilmour (c. 1979)
Rhythm Guitar: Jack White (White Stripes)
Bass: Les Claypool (Primus)
Drums: Buddy Rich (mid '70's)
Keyboard: Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)

| A band cannot have a vocalist who sings like piss... Sorry Mr/Mrs (?) Urine, ta-ta. You will be replaced by a guy who can sing most styles and whose voice is truly special:
Vocalist: Geddy Lee (Rush)
Guitar: David Gilmour (c. 1979)
Rhythm Guitar: Jack White (White Stripes)
Bass: Les Claypool (Primus)
Drums: Buddy Rich (mid '70's)
Keyboard: Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)

| Dang, I was going to replace Mr. Rich with the more rocking, technically equally skilled, and better songwriter Neil Peart. But there seems to be an unwritten rule of not having two people from the same band.
So instead, I'm replacing Mr. Rich with the slightly less technically skilled, but more rocking Terry Williams from the 1980s incarnation of Dire Straits.
Vocalist: Geddy Lee (Rush)
Guitar: David Gilmour (c. 1979)
Rhythm Guitar: Jack White (White Stripes)
Bass: Les Claypool (Primus)
Drums: Terry Williams (Dire Straits)
Keyboard: Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)

| Tragically Mr. White's ego far outpaces his abilities. We have decided to replace him with a person who's talent is greater than his ego.
George Harrison
Vocalist: Geddy Lee (Rush)
Guitar: David Gilmour (c. 1979)
Rhythm Guitar: George Harrison(Beatles)
Bass: Les Claypool (Primus)
Drums: Terry Williams (Dire Straits)
Keyboard: Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)

| While he is incredibly talented and fantastic at the styles he plays, Les Claypool is not in any sense a traditional bassist. He leaves the band and is replaced by Donald "Duck" Dunn, creating a much tighter rhythm section.
Vocalist: Geddy Lee (Rush)
Guitar: David Gilmour (c. 1979)
Rhythm Guitar: George Harrison(Beatles)
Bass: Donald "Duck" Dunn (~1980)
Drums: Terry Williams (Dire Straits)
Keyboard: Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)

| While Straining for a particulaly high note Mr Lee tragicaly snapped a vocal cord, replacing him will be Roger Daltrey
Vocalist: Roger Daltrey(Who)
Guitar: David Gilmour (c. 1979)
Rhythm Guitar: George Harrison(Beatles)
Bass: Donald "Duck" Dunn (~1980)
Drums: Terry Williams (Dire Straits)
Keyboard: Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)

| omg, this is a sweet band.
Now all we need is someone to write their songs. Probably a duo to write the music & lyrics.
I think we need someone who knows all about the wild and conflicting emotions of youth, and who can put it into music. Someone who can write a punchy, catchy hook. Someone who can tell the audience to go f*** themselves and make the joke be on them, while they enjoy every minute of it.
That's right, I'm thinking of the mid-career Ludwig van Beethoven. He's back from spending a few months catching up on the new developments in musical composition and instrumentation, and he's ready to go.
We're still holding auditions for the lyrics member of the team.
So now we have:
Vocalist: Roger Daltrey(Who)
Guitar: David Gilmour (c. 1979)
Rhythm Guitar: George Harrison(Beatles)
Bass: Donald "Duck" Dunn (~1980)
Drums: Terry Williams (Dire Straits)
Keyboard: Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)
Music by: Beethoven (middle period)

Considering how many great songs Prince has written for himself and others, we are happy to have him join the band

| A few weeks after returning from "The Band"'s recent tour to Australia Beethoven realised they had picked up another band member without anyone really noticing. No one knows why he's there or what he plays exactly, but it adds a certain flavour definitely
Vocalist: Roger Daltrey(Who)
Guitar: David Gilmour (c. 1979)
Rhythm Guitar: George Harrison(Beatles)
Bass: Donald "Duck" Dunn (~1980)
Drums: Terry Williams (Dire Straits)
Keyboard: Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)
Wobbleboard: Rolf Harris (look it up)
Music by: Beethoven (middle period)

| Roger Daltry is a fantastic vocalist, but he keeps missing tours every time his old band, the Who, decides that they need to do Tommy again. A front man with a social conscience and a big voice to fill Roger's shoes is selected. Bono, from U2
Vocalist: Bono (U2)
Guitar: David Gilmour (c. 1979)
Rhythm Guitar: George Harrison(Beatles)
Bass: Donald "Duck" Dunn (~1980)
Drums: Terry Williams (Dire Straits)
Keyboard: Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)

| In a move designed to add a distinctively more "rollicking" fusion sound to the band, former Hendrix conspirator Mitch Mitchell has taken over the drum sticks. He hopes the rest of the band won't relegate him to second tier and not give him any money from the earnings.
Vocalist: Bono (U2)
Guitar: David Gilmour (c. 1979)
Rhythm Guitar: George Harrison(Beatles)
Bass: Donald "Duck" Dunn (~1980)
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Keyboard: Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)
Wobbleboard: Rolf Harris (look it up)
Music by: Beethoven (middle period)

| I just want to say that I'd pay good money to see this particular band play.
Seriously. It may not be good, but it'd be spectacular!

| Bono was too busy saving the world from itself, so we had to let him go. We found a decent singer who actually shows up for gigs AND who can actually hit the notes, AND who's still the epitome of cool. Yes, I'm talking about David Bowie.

| So the group is having a great time and doing reasonably well, but decides one day they want something a little, you know... heavier. Beethoven is let go (but kept available for consultation) and the call goes out for another deceased classical composer. Wagner answers the call and after getting used to 125 years of musical "progress", he's up to speed. The drummer is now working an awful lot harder during concerts...

| While the Wobbleboard adds an...interesting effect, I just don't see it in a rock band.
C-ya!

| Tuomas had to be let go, after a contract dispute over red Twizzlers.
To replace him, we were able to bring on arguably one of the best rock keyboardists of all time, Keith Emerson.

| David Gilmour was feeling a bit worn with all the touring, so he decided to take a bit of a break.
Fortunately one of the most versatile guitarists ever was available to step in on short notice.
Vocalist: David Bowie (any era)

| Through his connection via the Beatles, a new singer steps in to give Mr. Bowie a breask from all the touring/adoring fans. Time for a slightly more reclusive, but fairly versatile singer.
Vocalist: Harry Nilsson
Guitar: Rik Emmett (Triumph)
Rhythm Guitar: George Harrison(Beatles)
Bass: Donald "Duck" Dunn (~1980)
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
Keyboard: Keith Emerson

| So George Harrison wants to take a few weeks off. Subbing in for him is... the one, the only - Kim Mitchell! Bringing righteous rhythm and awesome grooves, he adds a good plucky sound to the background.
Vocalist: Harry Nilsson
Guitar: Rik Emmett (Triumph)
Rhythm Guitar: Kim Mitchell (~1990)
Bass: Donald "Duck" Dunn (~1980)
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a la Monterey Pop)
