Sr. Mens Epee - Puerto Rico

Is anyone on the forum coming?
    Any predictions?
Being the first event that counts for Olympic qualification points, who do you think will be the big contenders for the automatic qualifying positions?
    Any other thoughts?

Monal was the first that counted for Olympic qualifying.

I have the results from the last 8, with names spelled correctly and everything

    Carozzo - Italia
    Imre- Hungría
    Tagliariol- Italia
    Steffen- Suiza
    Robeiri- Francia
    Robinson- Australia
    Linteau – Canada

The bouts in the last 4 played out as follows:
Tagliariol vs Steffen- 15-9 for Steffen
Robieri vs Linteau 15-8 for Robieri

Good to see Australia getting in the thick of it. It's nice to know for us younger types that at least one guy in our country still has what it takes to be competitive internationally.
People don't dance no more (what!?),
They just stand there like this (that's right!),
They cross their arms and stare you down and drink and moan and dis (OK now!).

How on earth two Italian women took 1st and second with all the strongest fencers there, I have no idea. But FORZA ITALIA!

And Luigi got eliminated in the round of 16. By ottavi the site means "ottavi di finale", which is one step lower than the quarterfinals.

And wow, three Italians in the top 8 (Tagliariol, Milanoli, and Carrozzo), huh? Maybe they're all stepping it up for the Olympics.

    ottavi = eighths, i.e., top 16

As for the rest of your comments, you should have more confidence in Italian epee, men's and women's...
