| Assuming that the US beats Russia in the 16, they draw France. The US was close, losing 38-36 so they could make the upset.
On the VEN/CAN potential match up in the round of 16, VEN running the table to keep a top 4 ranking in qualification points would be the next best thing to the US placing above VEN.
Seeing the placements of China and Korea at the end of the day will be interesting also.
