#1 | | Guest | Fencing in the News? Hi - this is from Cindy Bent, public relations officer for US Fencing. We have a page on the USFA website that tells the memberships where fencing articles and TV/radio stories appear - I just wanted to ask if people have seen fencing in the news recently, and let you know, if you do, you can email me at
USFencing@hotmail.com
and I'll try to put it on the page. Thanks! | |

| You want to include local papers? We get into the paper a lot. Local news, too. |

| www.themestream.com has quite a few articles on fencing.
I say this with all the humility a contributor to that site can muster. :0)

| Yes, please include any local mentions, especially if there is a web link people can get to - I'm trying to track them. |

| Cindy, I am currently working on media coverage for the upcoming Nationals in Sacramento. Also trying to get some coverage on one of my teammates who just took Gold in Cadet women's saber at the Pan Am games this month. Please email me with any suggestions you have regarding hooks and media contacts for national coverage. I will in turn provide you with any local contacts I have in Sacramento. My email is Cuttershouse@aol.com.

| Just got an article written, in the college paper, about my college's fencing club, nothing spectacular, but it is the first and only publicity the club has gotten in the three or four years its been active. If you want it let me know. |

| If there is a link, post it here. If not, go ahead and email it to me and I'll post it on the fencing.net site also.
Cheers,

When and where are the nationals in Sacramento? If I have the time I'd loke to go and watch a few bouts. Thanks

| FencerInUs, I believe the set dates are 7/2 - 7/11 but they haven't given us the official schedule yet as to when each event will be held. I will keep you posted.
