Miami

Hey, has anyone found a better option for Summer Nationals then expensive hotels?

I was thinking that there should be 'family' options like condos or houses to rent. I just don't know where to start looking for them.

A few clubmates of mine ended up renting a condo for the week of Summer Nationals and are all going to stay there. Where exactly they found it I really don't know. It seemed like a good idea, and ended up looking like a very cost effective option.

I'm lucky enough to have some family down that way with a very comfortable couch and plenty of space they wouldn't mind sharing with their slightly mentally unbalanced (you have to be to fence sabre) cousin.

If you live in a big event city where tournaments of interest are likely to be held later on, you can always try and contact a local family and see if you can do a "You can stay in my house if I can stay in yours" kinda thing.

There are a lot of vacant condos in Miami this time of year. We got a 3 bedroom house w/ a pool for about the price of two dumpy THS hotel rooms. Try www.vrbo.com.
