CNN Special

On Dec. 9, CNN will air a one hour television special on Akhnaten Spencer-El, Kamara James and the Peter Westbrook Foundation! The show will air three times on two networks: on CNN itself at 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., and on TBS at 7:30 p.m, New York air times. This program has been in the works for more than a year - check your local listings and don't miss it!!

Hey guys!
Yes, I heard about this special, and I and some of my fellow fencer's from the AFC (Atlanta Fencer's Club, www.atlantafencersclub.com) Are in it. In the begining of the special, you will see me and my mighty sabre, with my horrible footwork, fencing, and some friends of mine fencing in the background! It was quite fun. The first thing they asked to us, the sabrist's, was "Could you guys maybe fence without your masks?" Met with some snickering. Ah, the uneducated, non-fencing community.

Saw the special this morning and enjoyed learning about these special fencers! Wish there was more fencing footage, but as a fencer, 24 hours of footage might be not sufficient!!! Peter Westbrook is an amazing role model for all people! Thanks for the heads up on this special.

We're in the same boat Foil Girl, I thought it was at 7:30 pm and slept though it. The USFA site says they're reshowing it a couple of times next month, but at odd times.

I set the VCR and ended up with half of Scrooged and Friends!

I missed the first airing on TBS. I believe it is going to be shown on CNN on 1-27-00 at 10 PM and on 1-28-00 at 1 AM.
