    Frequently started threads?

A lot of forums have "Frequently Asked Questions" to direct new members to the basics of what ever topic the forum is about. I propose a "Frequently Started Thread" section in which the moderators can move threads that have been resurrected for the 100th time. Such as:

    French or Pistol Grip?
    Choice of shoes.
    Flick or not flick?
    What's your rating?
    Any poll...

...for example. This would service the membership as a one stop shop for all those threads that should be read by new members and igored by the old.

An alternative might be to enable users to have an "ignore thread" option, like we can igore members.

I second this motion! "Ignore Thread" would be fantastic!

Meh, but wouldn't this thread qualify for inclusion?
Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you!

    Heh - I like Inq's comment...

I think this is a good idea but I am not that sure how feasible it is in Vbulletin.

    Allen,

I'd love to have this and Noodle had started something similar but it sort of fell by the wayside.

Fencing.Net is in need of someone to act as an archivist and pull the relevant good nuggets of information out of the vast expanse of thread drift and random stuff that's in the threads.

I do feel that this would greatly benefit the existing membership and the new users.

Keep this thread open to post any other "FAQ" fodder that comes to mind. I'll get a section created and we can start moving the questions and proper answers over to it.
