    NJ Division Championships

Where are all the men's epees? I don't see a better event to attend that day. Men's foil has 24 preregistrations and men's epee has 5.

What does everyone else know that I do not?

Could it be that because we used to call it the "Sr. Championships" everyone under the age of 20 thinks it is just for the old geezers?

I'd like to believe NJ fencers are smarter than that, especially when the foil section filled up just fine. I'd check how many people registered by the close of pre-registration, but askfred doesn't seem to be loading right now.

That looks like an awfully poor turnout. I know why I'm not going -- I have to teach on Saturday, and I'm currently crippled anyway. But where is everyone else?

I bet a bunch of people looked at it and thought "Hell, not many people are signed up, why bother?"

I also bet that if all those people took a chance, it would be a great turnout.

    Oh, the irony.

It was a good tournament. I met achilles heal and AndrewH and saw Rick Shellhouse.
