| Heh, how condign, considering that I was about to mention to Mr. Bad Guy the example of Sostratos of Sicyon, who according to Pausanias won numerous victories in pankration ( the MMA of the ancient world, a mix of striking, kicking and wrestling where only gouging and biting were prohibited and where moreover there were no weight classes or time limits on bouts ) by breaking or bending his opponents' fingers. He won the event at the Olympic Games three times this way, in addition to numerous other regional games, so it can't be quite as impossible as all that... http://www.sikyon.com/sicyon/athleti...html#sostratos

| Oh, most definitely. But has BALBOS ever encountered any Navy SEALs? Or blueish squirrels, for that matter?

| Except for the fact that your affinity for booze and broads has nothing to do with 'Get Fuzzy'...

To imply that fighting hasn't evolved sense then is madness. Not to mention this is Pankration; no one likes pankration. Besides, this was shortly after the invention of fingers. I jest, but all shenanigans aside, this was probably the first time anyone had ever thought of this. We've had a very long time to adapt to finger grabs since then! |
