I wrote in on the calendar all the dates my salle would be open this month, frowning with annoyance when I had to make a big X through a couple of Tuesdays...and ...realizing...one...was...Christmas??? And how is it I would rather be with the guys in white on New Year's than blowing noisemakers?

Maybe this belongs in "You Know You Fence Too Much When...", but it's true.

SInce I lost weight my vice has been buying panties. I currently have 95 pair of Victoria's Secret panties. All different. 15 bras all different colors,too

i feel so so stupid.

i took a hard hit to the bony part of my thumb (right where it becomes the wrist) a few weeks ago. on my dominate hand. it was dark purple. did i get it checked, of course not--i needed to fence (varisty team, exactly enough people...too many sports movies).
next meet, it gets hit again. it is now very very painful at all times. i keep on putting it off, take all my nice finals (all blue book).

finally take it to a health professional, because it still hurts like a ***** and is still discolored. turns out the thumb was broken, after the first hit.

Call him "Pissant". He's maybe ten years old. I can't stand Pissant. I don't like him around me. He always has this little yellow ball. Always bouncing the damn thing. Until I get it and throw it out of the salle door into the mud. Anyway, my epee team got a little smashed after practice last night (Friday night+Fencing+celebratory bottles) and I hid a foilist's clothes in the four corners of our very large space. "Who f&cking did this?, etc." he was yelling.

Pissant walks in bouncing his stupid ball. I guess his mom was late picking him up.

Now, I'm too old to beat up on Pissant, but our foilist wasn't. What was great is that my teammate, who knows I can't stand Pissant, did the deed for me. He put down his glass and pointed at the kid. We heard Pissant howling somewhere in the dark corridor leading to the handball area once the foilist caught up to him.

I'm sorry. Coming from a mom and former trainer...."what's the matter with your head? You couldn't tell there was something wrong?" Ok, now that that is out of my system, put some ice on it.
