Array USFA Coaches Insurance I know that all coach members of the USFA get automatic coverage under the USFA general insurance plan, but can't seem to find where one can get proof of that fact. I don't really need it (I work for a USFA member club and we get our paperwork every year), but it would be nice to have.
Aside from emailing the USFA and asking, does anyone know what do about it? -

Array Mailing the USFA would seem to be the ONLY way to get "proof" of a USFA policy, unless you happen to have contact information for the underwriter, directly.

Array Contact information for the insurance company is provided at the bottom of this page from the USFA discussing the coaches general liability insurance plan.

I think that the request has to be routed through the national office. When I needed cert. of liability insurance to satisfy the school systems, the YMCA, etc. I needed the national office to request them. You will need to request them for specific places and organizations. Ie, they won't issue you the certificates with a "To whom it may concern..", they're for specific places and for the current year.

Array I really just want to know this: does anyone out there have an actual copy of the USFA Coaches' Insurance policy and/or the USFA Club Insurance policy IN PRINT?
I am talking about the insurance that supposedly is provided as a benefit of USFA membership, just for paying your dues.
I ask because a representative from the insurance company gives a presentation every session at Coaches College. I have sat through several of these. Every time someone asks if they can have an actual copy of the policy, the insurance representative tap-dances around it like Ginger Freakin' Rogers. "All things must pass. IT is a STATE Secret and if they told you...(you know the rest).
Seriously I've never been able to get this information either and they've tap danced mightily. It may be even harder to get your hands on that the Federal NoFly list. Someone once opined it's because they may want to choose whether they insure whatever it is you've been blamed for after they find out what it is. Go Figure! -

Array For any coaches who have avoided lifetime membership because they wanted to have the coach insurance, I asked about this. The response was that we just need to be identified as coaches by the USFA, but that we can do a lifetime membership with coach insurance just by making sure that the national office has you marked as a coach. -

Array Well, I got a copy of an insurance certificate, but not the actual policy. I received two copies of the certificate in my e-mail, and they mailed me a hard copy, too.
I suppose it is better than nothing, but it won't do me much good if I want to file a claim, and they decide it won't be covered. What is to prevent them from denying any claim at all? Who's to say what is covered and what isn't? They could make up anything, after the fact.
They don't even have to use "fine print," when there's no print at all. Similar Threads -
