Array Why does fencing.net not want my money? I LOVE the fencing.net forums. Therefore, I feel a certain obligation to try to support fencing.net financially...to give fnet a chance for my business. Twice, now, I have sent emails to the sales email address with questions regarding product. Once each for separate purchasing decisions. I have never received a reply.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is my money not green enough? Similar inquiries to Absolute, Fencing Post, LP and, good God, even Triplette EVENTUALLY get answered.
I'm just curious about everyone's experience. I used to do all the ordering for a club, but now only order for myself or the odd clubmate who needs help. I seldom ask about more than $100 to $300 worth of equipment at one time. Is this my problem? Too small a fish to wet the line? Maybe Fnet is so busy and successful they're like a plumber...they will answer only the random call which attracts their attention. -

Array Have you tried tossing a PM Craig's way? Something may be legitimately broken and it would be helpful to him if he was told... Pound for pound, the amoeba is the most vicious animal on earth. -

Array I have never gotten anything but a fast response and great service. It is possible that there is a software issue, such as your messages getting eaten by a spam filter I suppose. I would suggest you give them a call, I am sure they would be glad to help you.
Actually I would suggest you do that with any vendor that you attempt to initially contact with email before assuming something negative, much less posting it on the forums... Just another lost soul saved by the (hit) First Church of EPEE!

having a gripe on a public forum is almost certainly the fastest way to get Craigs attention!!
I am sure there is a good reason that you didn't get a reply, his customer service is generally excellent, try calling him. -

Array Thanks for the input. I was wondering whether it was just me...it must be based on the positive feedback. I don't understand people who just "dis" fnet but make use of the forums...I have seen that in various threads. I really feel that supporting fnet makes a lot of sense...if you like the forums, then support the folks who bring them to us at no charge! But having been out of the sport for a Loooong period of time (I still use blue or purple stripe shoes for practice, and still use FL blades...my stuff is old!) I often want some feedback or advice before making a purchase.
I guess I will try again! Thanks! -

Array The last email came in on Saturday, which was spent playing with my kids at their grandfather's house. Since we're open M-F that email got answered this morning.
Don't know about the other one so I'll look through our logs to see if I can find it.
Alex - forums aren't the fastest way to get to me since I'm working the phone calls, emails, and orders we get first. Only in between those do I get 5-10 minutes here and there to browse the top forum topics.

Array The forums are the fastest way of getting other manufacturer's attention. I'd assume it would be easier to call Craig. I know, phones are outdated and the radiation causes you to grow a new eye, but that's still the fastest way we have of communicating. -
