    what counts as a win?

    Personally I'm in the if you break it you fix it camp - but I don't think that gets filed under win for either the left or right in the US
    au revoir

    You need to define win more specifically.

    Yes, I want the US and it's allies to succed in the current endevor to help the Iraqy people; but if that is going to take 20 years, then I'm willing to comprimise and call it good once we get their new government into sable control.
    If you don't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them. Trust me, they'll appreciate it.

    Ask Harry Reid. He sure seems to think he knows what constitites a loss.

    I would sure like them to win. Whether or not it's possible is another story.

    I thought we'd already won in Iraq? We dethrowned the previous regime, replaced it with another one and have been rebuilding, what more is there to "win"? We just have to get our stupid asses out of there.

    Slim prefers to throw poo at the wall; he won't respond directly to an intelligent question such as yours.

    well perhaps you should have asked;

    "If the decider in chief announces later today that he has decided that the US has won would you believe that he has, in fact, decided correctly?"

    Surely -- whatever the outcome would be -- the result of the fight you are presently engaged in cannot be considered a "win".

    Though one would have reason to believe winning a battle you picked is a question of prestige. How many more lives would it be worth?
