| I still think we should make D'Art and honourary Newfie. I think he'll fit right in. |

| I'm quite happy to keep my gene pool slightly larger than a small puddle, thanks.
Anyway, what's my next translation?

| Ahem...many Newfoundlanders are of Irish decent, in fact you can still recognise the accent. Sold? not really. Newfoundland was a British colony until 1949. At which point she joined the confederation under foggy circumstances. Feel free to look that one up for clarification.
Sorry. After a year in Newfoundland I'm a bit defensive of the Rock. Quote:

Anyway, that was probably the bit that was sold for 1p about 350 years ago.... | |

I was surprised to discover skullcramp was a Canadian slang word.... that's always been what hubby has called headaches, so it seemed like such a "normal" word.
"2,4" is short for a case of 24, "Blue" is a brand of beer popular in Canada.
More rep for you Cville when I am able.
For those up for a challenge (or have been paying attention to the answers in this thread)... Here's a little quiz (I checked it out and got 100%), so let's see how well some of you do. |
