Fencing suppliers

Hey again-

This afternoon, an xmas package got left at our door by a UPS guy. Unfortunatly, I got the first to see the guy like basically drop this box on the blade of an electric foil that had punched through the box. The box was in terrible shape and had a big hold ripped in the side. Of course, I couldn't inspect to see if anything was hurt inside, because it was my xmas present (oops). My dad knows nothing about fencing so I'm not sure if anything is damaged. Is this a common occurance w/ fencing suppliers?

No, it's a common occurrence with UPS, especially during the holiday rush. Check with the supplier to see if they can use Fed Ex-- the better care with your package may be worth the price. Even the USPS may be a better choice than UPS, if that's an option.

Uhm...where exactly did you buy your stuff from? But also, you can't necessarily blame the company. The post office has been horrid lately. I have gotten several ripped up letters. I buy from, well, yes, triplette, but all their stuff is well packaged. I would make sure that it works right, is it electric? try it once you get it, and if anything is wrong, by all means, SEND IT BACK! You don't want to settle for something broken, just because it is an xmas present, and you don't want to wait for another one. Well, that's my 2 cents, if it helps you at all.

Frequently, you must keep the package and deal with ups to get credit for damaged goods. Triplette in particular, states that all items leave them in working condition and has a set policy regarding goods damaged in transit.I'd call the suppplier and see what they want you to do should the goods be damaged

Good point. My brain wasn't working when I posted that. I guess I'll see if it's alright when xmas comes around (Not too long from now! Yipee!).
