| It's a trick to get people to look in the FAQ. I think it backfired, so here's a little help.
Click on the word help. New forums don't show it as a link for me.

Get more rep and you'll get more little green squares under your name with your posts (until you hit the max, then you just get to track on which page of the memberlist, when sorted by rep, you appear).
You can give a poster rep by clicking the balance scales icon under their name (at the bottom of the box. a couple of lines below their existing rep squares).
No benefits currently set up, although Craig does have options available to him to limit privleges based on requiring a minimum amount of rep (errrr, "cool points").

| +rep altering points? What is that? Is that when one persons rep counts for more points?

Yes, the weight in "cool points" given by different people is different. The longer a user has been a member, the more posts, the more "cool points" s/he has, the more value is placed on his/her opinion of what a good post is. If you bump my reputation for this post I'll gain a couple of "cool points". If I bump yours for your post you'll go up a LOT more. People with fewer than 50 posts cannot give "cool points" at all (they can click the rep button and leave a message, but it'll have no effect on the number of points.
At this point there are some people with huge post counts and huge "cool point" balances that have very large potential influence on the "cool points" balance of other people.

| Yeah, I'm pretty sure I rep for over 200 (got just over 20k rep in the bank, plus all my posts and months on the board) and I'm not even CLOSE to the top repper.

For the last year or so... it's been insane how much my rep is worth... if I rep a newcomer they get 2 more green dots instantly.
On the other hand, I really enjoy reading the comments people make (and making them).
Re: The problem Inq's had with repping... I've had a problem with repping for quite some time, for some reason nothing happens when I go to rep. I just thought it was my outdated, lousy computer.
