Fencers At Upenn This is for anyone who currently goes to UPenn or knows a lot of about the school.
One thing i want to know is the grades and fencign credentials of fencers at UPenn so i can see if my grades would be considered high enough.
I know my grades are alightly lower than the average at Wharton but i would love to apply there early. I fence foil and am currently around 30 on the junior pts list and 10 on cadet (i fenced in teh 2 cadet world cups). I'm not someone who is top 10 on junior pts list but by next year i could be at 20ish..possibly go to a world cup. -

Array Hey. I really want to go to UPenn for tissue mechanics/cellular biology/molecular biology. Can anyone tell me if they prefer IB, AP, or PSEO credits? Or mentorship connection? What kind of extra curiculars should I do? When love bites, be sure to bite back.

Array Contacting the coach (as advised earlier) would be one place to start, but you might also just start by contacting the Admissions Department. For most of the Ivies (in theory, at least), you've got to be competitive academically before the extracurricular factors come into play. The admissions folks can tell you what sort of pre-requisites they're looking for, and give you an idea of the range of grades, board scores, etc. among the recently-admitted classes. -

Array From the alumni mailings I get Penn seems to offer exceptional opportunities for people with interests best served by tailored majors.
Why not try to contact some of the senior people in the areas of particular interest to you? If you have some mentoring experience with people of repute, they might be able to do as much for you as the fencing. Still, you have to have the capabilities. Even better if you have grades, test scores, etc. that demonstrate the capabilities. Whoopee! My avatar is back. Similar Threads -
