| It's strange. A century ago we were asking ourselves what was meant by "art." Now we ask ourselves the difinition of "sport."

Why can't we just evolve and start asking questions like: What are the quantum physics behind a parry?

According to the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle you cannot accurately measure an objects (the opponents blade) position and velocity at the same time. If you can measure one very precisely, you will have no idea what the other is. Hence, trying to intercept his attack will be very difficult for you. And if for some amazing chance you can put your blade in between yourself and his attack, his blade might just possibly go right through yours as if it wasnt even there (quantum tunneling). Well, you asked for it, there's the grim quantum mechanical truth behind parrying. All I can say is... good luck! .

| That's why I don't parry, just dodge and counter-attack.
