Vermont/Albany fencing? Anyone have any idea what the level of fencing is like in the Arlington, VT area? There's an E and under coming up this weekend. The level of fencing near the Whitewater Jcn area is definitely not as strong as Boston fencing. But I've heard that there are some good clubs North of Albany, which isn't too far from Arlington, VT (if I have my geography correct).
Any comments on the level of fencing over there?
Oh, and if anyone has ever made the journey from Arlington, VT to Lowell/Billerica, MA...how long does it take? Mapquest says 3 hours, googlemaps 3 hours 20 minutes...? -

Array It can be okay for foil/epee, but it's terrible for sabre (which is what the OP is interested in).

Array That Arlington meet sounds like it might be a tad disorganised. I won't be making it there, sadly. Good luck! Mess with my cows and I'll break your knees U.S. OUT OF VERMONT More Cowbell -

Array Look up Viveka Fox and ask her what her expectations for the competition are. You can probably find her contact info on the Vt. division website. -

Viveka isn't planning on being at the tournament, but would still probably be able to give you some info. Mess with my cows and I'll break your knees U.S. OUT OF VERMONT More Cowbell -

-m Not listed, but I'd guess it was the owner of one of the two sets of electric sabre equipment in the division as of that time. :)

Array Man, ya gotta love the GMD. Unless of course, you happen to fence sabre...
The sabre scene is growing, though. Ever so slightly, but growing nonetheless. Mess with my cows and I'll break your knees U.S. OUT OF VERMONT More Cowbell Similar Threads -
