I, the undersigned, would like to issue a public apology for responding to gillaspy's thread. I am penitent and promise not to do so again, nor to respond to any other threads about ratings systems or epee and ratings or epee in general. If I stray from this path and thus break my parole I will serve a sentence of either a) fencing epee for a full year or b) learning enough math and programming to invent a reasonable alternative to the current ratings system. The good of the many outweighs the procrastination of the few.

Hi!
A more productive approach would be to create a new sub-folder, named "ratings, rankings, and competition formats". Old threads could be moved over - there are quite a few of them.
Those who are not interested in those topics can simply bypass them, as I did with Arconia stuff.
