For those of you who journal/blog.... if you do a "Private" entry everyone can see it... real private eh? So essentially this feature (at this point) is useless.
If your whole journal is "Private" then only the people on your buddy list and the mods can read it.
Craig, can you please let us know when this is fixed???
In the meantime, the rest of you might want to resist writing your private thoughts to the world.

I ran into this as well. I alerted Craig, but have not heard from him yet.
This is troublesome. Information that is marked to be private should not be visible to the general public. There is no telling what ramifications could occur when private information is made available outside its intended circle on the internet.
Internet privacy issues are serious stuff.

I'm looking into the issue, but the only user that you told me saw it is a mod and was admin of a section. I'm setting up some dummy user accounts to test but it will take a little time since I'm not able to duplicate it easily.

It depends what you choose. You could make it private and only visable to yourself, or create a list of "buddies" you would like to share the entry with.

True... most of us know that there's lots of people who can hack into just about anything... We are simply asking for the features within f-net to work as they should.
This has been fixed. So EVERYBODY doesn't have easy access into journals that people set as private.
