A foot of snow

Greetings from Chicago!
We're in the middle of a snow storm right now, and I made the two and a half hour trip (which is normally 45 mins) to my office to work! When I got here, only two other consultants and the office administrator were in. There was a voicemail from my boss saying "I hope you're not in, but if you are, do what you need to do and go home early."
Funny thing... I did all I needed to do in 30 mins!
I think I'm going to stick around for a while. I order a fencing uniform from Allstar USA and had them ship it here (my office). I was expecting it Friday, but it never showed. I've been trying to get a hold of someone at Allstar to get a UPS tracking number and check to see where it is. If it's scheduled to arrive today, then I'll wait. If not, I am SOOOOOO out of here.
I hope everyone else's day is going better weather-wise.

Well, Rick, we in Detroit are getting what you got, just delayed a few hours. While I don't think we'll get a foot of snow, they are calling for 6-8 inches. It's 2pm in Detroit, and as I look out my 5th story window, the snow is going sideways. All I can say is, thank God for the bus! I didn't drive downtown today, because I don't have a winter car right now and didn't want to drive in all the snow! But I HAVE to be here, because unless they close the stock market, I have to be at work! I HATE SNOW!

By the way, we got another 6 inches on top of the foot or so we got before, and the snow in my driveway measured 18 inches deep! At the most shallow, 16 inches! And I had to shovel it all by hand.....
